We took a trip down to the woods today, to prepare for a big surprise for all of you: The release of our poster!

Wanting to create an ethereal look that went with the themes of the play, and was also eyecatching and alluring; I decided to focus our poster around a double exposed film camera image. With the company of cheeky Puck, a.k.a Molly Wyatt, combined with Cardiff greenery, we were able to put together a series of beautiful images which had just the effect we were looking for.

As Molly looks mischievously at the camera, walks away into the distance, or hides her face her features are hidden by the greens, browns and greys of the autumn trees. This, fading into a white sky give a mystical effect reminscent of frosted windows. As the play is set in a dystopian future the starkness that is achieved from these images are perfect for the initial setting of the play, and helping the audience understand that this is no usual production of Shakepeare's Dream.

But where's the final poster? Stay tuned - we like to keep suspense.
